Business Director (M/F), Frankfurt

Our client is a global integrated creative agency specializing in automotive and luxury goods. They understand themselves as Demand Creation Partners, which means they work across all platforms with a clear customer journey strategy.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Director (BD) works to develop and influence business strategy, leads client partner relationships and participates collaboratively to define briefs, develop ideas and deliver effective and innovative solutions. The BD must have a strong background in selling and delivering digital solutions as well as experience in Digital Strategy, UX, Design, Technical Builds, SEO, Analytics, Social and Mobile. CRM experience is also desired.

Your responsibilities:

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders, strategically advising the client
  • Act as a brand guardian, immersing yourself in all product developments and be able to advise on industry and technology trends and developments
  • Demonstrate an excellent “eye” for creative output, able to articulately and constructively challenge
  • Take overall responsibility for all digital mediums: digital marketing, web build, Mobile, Apps, Social and CRM
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements & SLAs of the account, communicating this to the team where relevant
  • Responsible as the digital advocate within the team
  • Experience with process optimization, identifying areas of improvement within the workflow
  • Demonstrate a good overview of the team’s performance capabilities, completing quarterly review feedback and setting objectives
  • Ensure optimum productivity levels are achieved and team morale is high
  • Take an active role in annual fee and SOW proposals and negotiations

Your qualifications:

  • 6+ years operating in a Senior account management position, leading campaigns and managing a team
  • 4+ years working in a digital agency
  • Experience managing international client relationships, in multiple markets with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in commercial negotiation – fee and scope of work negotiations
  • Experience of premium brands, automotive (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Interactive Design, User-Centric Experience Design, Brand Development, Digital Marketing and the creative process
  • Strong awareness and interest in new platforms and technologies
  • Excellent presentation skills – able to articulate and present ideas with conviction
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems based on sound technical knowledge
  • A clear communicator, in person and writing – with fluent oral and written business English
  • Excellent time management/prioritization and project management skills
  • Approachable, outgoing and diplomatic – must have excellent emotional intelligence
