Insight Analyst (Consumer)

Cogs are currently recruiting for an Insight Analyst to join the Business Intelligence team at a top client of ours. The successful candidate will use advanced analytics to contribute to the key decisions made in many areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

” Be the analytical partner for the key stakeholders in other departments (CRM, Marketing, as well as Senior Executives), promoting data driven decision making

” Delivery of advanced analytical projects within a fast-moving environment

” Application of data to areas such as campaign analysis, ROI, and A/B testing

” Extracting and analysing very large and multi-dimensional data sets, working closely with internal units to drive insights and produce more efficient and effective CRM campaigns

” Extraction and manipulation of large volumes of data

Skills and Capabilities

Essential

” Degree (or equivalent) in the quantitative areas or relevant experience gained in data analytics

” Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of deadlines

” Ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to non-technical business people, both written and orally

” Ability to see the “big picture”, evaluate the business impact of issues and prioritize among many requests

” Ability to turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations

” Proficiency in extracting and manipulating large datasets using SQL / MicroStrategy (or similar)

” Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Desirable

” Knowledge of the online gambling/ gaming industry

” Practical experience with statistical tools (SPSS, SAS, R, KNIME, other)

” Experience in data mining / advanced analytics (clustering, regression, predictive models or similar)
