Cogs are currently working with a top client looking for a Tagging & Tracking Implementation Manager. This role requires a Front End engineering background and skills as a technical expert in delivering projects to rollout, on-board and improve digital Marketing & Analytics tools. Ensure our Google Tag Manager is optimal and performant. Use your JavaScript knowledge and engineering experience to architect solutions to complex issues, additionally handling and troubleshooting escalated tagging issues. The role holder will be the lead associate in providing front-line support and processing simple pixel requests

This role will be in the international digital marketing team based in London.

Position Responsibilities:

” Manage Tagging & Tracking Associate, by providing guidance to identify tagging needs, deploying tags and performing testing. Coach, support and guide them on technical and business aspects of tagging.

” Develop and manage efficient processes enabling Associate to be able to Process simple pixel tracking tag requests from local marketing teams.

” Handle complex pixel tracking tag requests from local marketing teams

” Troubleshoot escalated issues and requests liaising with relevant teams or vendor support where needed.

” Be the stakeholder for Google Tag Manger & mParticle ensuring set-up is optimal and performant.

” Act as a subject matter expert on tracking and tagging implementation.

” Foster a collaborative relationship with product and engineering teams

” Track, prioritise, and manage implementation projects across multiple ecommerce platforms.

” Lead the technical rollout of analytics & marketing tools such as Google Analytics and DoubleClick


” Higher education qualification (Or Equivalent) in IT or Engineering subject.

” Fluent in English

” Extensive JavaScript Programming experience

” Demonstrable deep technical understanding of Digital marketing, Ad technology and Analytics tools

” Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to understand complex requirements

” Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with a variety of personalities and work styles

” Attention to detail and strong follow through capabilities

” Ability to lead and coach a team

Desired Experience:

” Ad technology, Digital Marketing, or Analytics background

” Multi-divisional experience – working cross-departments and teams to get things done

” European language(s)
