Job description

My client is currently seeking an experienced Technical consultant to join their team of motivated engineers in delivering first class consultancy and support to their customers. This role would suit somebody who is looking to step into a Professional Services role from a support environment.

Purpose of Job

To provide consultancy and support services to customers (internal and external) including project planning, installation and post-installation support.

Responsibilities

– Full planning and installation of products / delivery of services (Majority of role)

– Being a fully participative member of the SPARC Support team (secondary)

Individual Duties / Tasks

– Physical installation of products

– Implementation and design documents

– Project planning and management of above

– Delivery of related technical services

– Recommendations to sales and customer on provision of correct toolsets and services

– Telephone support of products and toolsets

Department Goals

– To ensure a smooth and well-planned implementation is complete to the customer’s satisfaction

– To deliver best of breed support services via SPARC

– To recommend best of breed toolsets and products to both sales and customers

Training Given

Full induction and systems training provided where necessary

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential

– At least 2 years’ experience in server/network and or desktop support at level 2/3

Desirable skills (experience with)

– Cyberark

– Zscaler

– Stealthbits

– Forescout

Note: SPARC Operates on a 24/7 basis with escalation for P1 calls only. The applicant would be required to participate in a 1 week on/3 weeks off out of hours Rota to deal with any P1 tickets. BSP typically takes 1 OOH ticket every 3 weeks
