As with the Amsterdam Ad Blog we love this art project named ‘True Colours’ by Lex Pott and Found by James, which will be exhibited at the Salone del Mobile in Milan next week. According to Found by James (the exclusive online art/design magazine from Amsterdam) Pott created the work by applying “various chemical processes to generate oxidization of the panels and recording the formula with typography on the face of each panel. As each metal transforms from one shade to the next, it creates a unique alchemistic colour palette, revealing how nature can create extraordinary results.” Here you can see how the work was made. Lex Pott is definitely one to watch; he graduated Cum Laude from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2009.
