Designing our new office for growth and collaboration

After 4 years in Central, Cogs Hong Kong have decided to trade the skyscraper views for a new office with the panorama of Aberdeen Harbour.

In our last update, we spoke about the pace of growth we are seeing here in the market and our first foray into China.

While we will miss our last office on Hollywood Road including the neighborhood’s secret spots, we’re thrilled about our new space!

Wong Chuk Hang is 2 stops on the South Island MTR line from Admiralty station. Just 7 minutes on the metro.

This makes it highly accessible for all of our staff coming in to work from across Hong Kong.

Our New Office

Our new workspace is larger than our previous location, allowing us to cater for a growing team. There is an increase in the number of breakout spaces and meeting rooms, allowing our colleagues to host a number of candidates or clients at once.

Although it is still a developing industrial area, over the years, the neighbourhood has been buzzing with creativity and innovation.

Several creative co-working spaces such as Campfire and The Hive opened to set up shop there to cater to the start-ups and satellite offices of burgeoning tech companies

Just in April, London’s described Wong Chuk Hang as the equivalent of Canary Wharf, while has predicted it to be Hong Kong’s ‘main Arts district’ come next year. The area is home to a group of contemporary international and local art galleries.

Many international businesses are slowly recognising this area, by shifting over their operations here from the city.

Companies from the likes of CNN, Independent Insurance Authority, Equal Opportunities Commission, Valentino, Grana, AXA to independent microbreweries. It’s inspiring for us to be immersed in the company of other progressive businesses.

We’ve designed our workspace to enhance and encourage collaboration for a productive environment.

Most of us spend half our day at work so having a conducive surrounding would only serve to bring out our best selves.

This results in delivering greater value and satisfaction to our clients and have a positive impact on the future of our business.
