For our client, one of the leading German service design studios with offices in Berlin and Munich, supporting companies and organizations with building innovative products & services, we are looking for a Director Business Design in Munich or Berlin. Together with the professionals in the field of sustainability, including designers, technologists, researchers and entrepreneurs you will work towards a shared purpose: To create desirable and lasting impact by empowering individuals, teams, and businesses. Your responsibilities:

  • Create new value propositions led by the identification of peoples’ real needs and desires backed by strong and viable business models
  • Advise and inspire on the topics of customer centricity and digital business innovation
  • Develop new and disruptive businesses, and drive transformation for existing brands
  • You will initiate and control innovation and change processes at clients
  • You are applying system thinking, looking across the entire customer journey, putting emphasis on value creation and the touchpoints that can deliver most impact, and using creativity, tech and data to deliver those


Your profile:

  • You have already gained 10+ years of practical experience in the areas of digital strategy, service design, user research & validation or business design preferably on agency side
  • Consumer centricity and the desire to improve people’s lives leads your approach to business
  • You have strong leadership and people development skills
  • You have experience with methods from the areas of Design Thinking and Lean UX, ideally in agile working models and in use at larger companies
  • You can communicate insights in a structured and convincing way to clients and colleagues
  • You are fluent in German
