This is a seriously interesting opportunity to join an international design consultancy with offices globally which is ranked in eConsultancy’s list of top 100 Digital Agencies. The role will be sat within the Storytelling Team which brings together writers, video producers, animators, editors, illustrators and graphic designers to create & bring clarity to complex ideas.
About the role: They’re looking for a passionate storyteller to oversee the content strategy, editorial and copywriting aspects of their team’s creative work. As their chief ‘wordsmith’, the Lead Content Strategist will take responsibility for the language they use across a wide range of creative outputs from master brand narratives to animated films. They prize strong, human stories, but this role also presents opportunities for the more strategic content strategy work involved in planning and building apps, websites and other digital experiences.
o Lead the growth and development of the content strategy, editorial and copywriting work of their team, including recruiting new team members.
o Oversee the creation of copy for a diverse range of outputs, from one-page brand narratives to concept pitch decks, infographics, journey maps and animated films.
o Conduct workshops to ‘draw-out’ stories from clients or colleagues and help them find new ways to articulate their ideas.
o Create meaningful stories from muddled raw materials by distilling and rewriting content created by subject matter experts.
o Provide help for colleagues in interpreting and implementing their copy and tone-of-voice guidelines for our internal projects.
o Help develop a continually expanding pool of re-usable content about their own work for new business proposals.
o Ability to craft strong, meaningful copy in a wide range of styles and spot copywriting talent.
o Experience managing and developing copywriters and editorial content creators.
o A passion for working directly with senior clients and stakeholders and helping them ‘find the right words’.
o A good understanding of the Customer Experience, UX, Service Design and Design Thinking landscape.
