Senior Director Acquisition Marketing (w/m/x) – Berlin

 

Our client, one of the world’s largest content platforms with their own production studios is looking for a Senior Director Acquisition Marketing to join their offices in Berlin. This role revolves around defining and executing the Customer Acquisition Marketing strategy by leading and inspiring the Acquisition Marketing team to ensure a long-term profitable growth through the means of a multichannel acquisition marketing platform in the German-speaking countries.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan, define, execute, optimize and monitor the performance of all acquisition channels
  • Develop, review and own the strategies (media and channel) for all products, overseeing and controlling the budget allocation  
  • Drive innovation, systematic testing and optimization in channel execution – conversion included
  • Responsible for own member growth, SAC, strategically and tactically across channels
  • Ensure the development and the regular review of both strategies and tactical measures for all acquisition channels – and secure the availability and continuous improvement of appropriate tools/processes for performance monitoring, forecasting and controlling
  • Lead a team of acquisition channel owners (5 direct reports) and devote time to their and their teams’ support (14 employees – total team size)
  • Continuously lead a mid- and long-term agenda to support the company and acquisition marketing strategy as well as drive best-practices exchange and support for new marketplaces
  • Liaise with media agencies and manage the existing relationships
  • Work in close collaboration with Brand & Communication, Customer Development, Product Marketing Leads, and with the US and European counterparts
     

Your Profile:

  • 10 years+ of experience in senior leadership roles with a minimum of 5+ years of B2C, client-side experience and in-depth understanding of the German digital entertainment market 
  • Proven leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of the cross-platform Performance Marketing team
  • Growth-focused with clear strategic direction and operational execution – successful track record of consistence in growing performance-marketing KPIs inside a digital ecosystem
  • Ability to steer, coach, motivate and develop the team inside the unit, with outstanding openness and empathy with the capacity to build excellent working relationships
  • Exceptional at handling large budgets with data analysis skills for monitoring performance   
  • Outstanding negotiation and relationship building skills with both external and internal partners
  • Business fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
