Following on from our last Hong Kong entry our man in Hong Kong, Damien Bell, wanted to give you all a little more insight into why expats simply love Hong Kong.

As with every major City she has her down days but they are very few and far between. So to give you a little reassurance and a tad more encouragement, I’ve shared a blog that really helped shape my decision to move. And a very worthwhile decision indeed!

This is by two Australian expats and seasoned Hong Kongers – http://www.tuition.com.hk/hong_kong.htm

I also thought I’d put wind to the myth that Hong Kong is an outrageously expensive City. Comparatively speaking it costs no more to live here than London and, once you’re settled and passed the feeling that you’re on vacation, you’ll find that it can be much cheaper…

Here’s another useful resource but please keep in mind this is a guide and prices do vary – http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Hong+Kong (it’s approximately 12.4 HKD to 1 GBP)

Stay tuned for more Hong Kong love…
