Our Head of Creative & UX Ben Wise managed to score some tickets to Creative Social’s event Hacker, Maker, Teacher, Thief: Advertising’s Next Generation. His thoughts on the event below.
Last night I had the pleasure of attending my first Creative Social event, which was all about their new book – Hacker Maker Teacher Thief.
From the enthusiastic, yet humble introduction from @yellif to the closing succinct and insightful thoughts of @willsh {Make Things People Want > Make People Want Things}, each and every speaker talked about their given chapter, offering invaluable advice for the new or experienced Creative. Personally loved the idea that Copying isn’t Evil from Mark Earls and Seb Royce’s point of view that the Internet can only really ever hit a few senses; taste, touch and smell are all there to still be experienced for real. But rather than impart my thoughts, why not order your own copy here and have your own – http://www.lulu.com/shop/creative-social/hacker-maker-teacher-thief-advertisings-next-generation/paperback/product-21769341.html
