AKQA Shanghai

The “Black Cab Interviews” are a series of interviews in which Creativepool’s founder, Michael Tomes takes industry heavyweights on a cab ride in London, New York and Singapore to chat about their careers, work and thoughts about the industry.

Cogs have supported the Singapore interviews for the past couple of years and were thrilled to see our very own Founder and Director of Asia Chris Frost hit the hot seat for an interview recently, which you can view here:

Singapore is home to Spikes Asia, the region’s oldest and most prestigious festival of creativity.  For this year’s Black Cab Interview Series, Creativepool invited some of the festival’s top speakers into the cab for a chat, asking some biting questions while he takes his esteemed guests on a whirlwind tour of the glorious city of Singapore.

Eric Cruz, Executive Creative Director at AKQA Shanghai, took some time out of his busy schedule for a Black Cab Interview. He spoke about young creatives in Asia and the region’s evolving education system. He also elaborates on how the success of startups and innovative culture is being controlled by China and speaks about his own experiences and the challenges he has faced working across continents with clients.
