A Slightly Sporty Summer Social

Cogs London enjoy a spot of cricket as we head down to Lords for our end of month social….

For the July social we decided to do something a little different to the usual and the team headed out for a spot of cricket.

The spectacular Lords ground in St Johns Wood hosted the game between Essex Eagles and Middlesex.

Drinks and a picnic before the match were almost ruined thanks for the typical British summer weather (rain!) but we battled through the conditions and got to our seats in time for the beginning of play at 6:15.

There was lots of cheering, spectacular fire displays and plenty of laughs throughout, but it was Essex that were victorious and the match ended with a five-wicket victory over Middlesex.

The evening was a perfect introduction to the Cogs culture, for our newest edition Kevin Kamanu. Since graduating in 2012 with a degree in International Relations & Politics, he has gained much experience in sales, customer service and most recently recruitment. A natural passion for digital and an infectious personality make him a perfect fit for the Cogs family. He has joined Paul and Claire on the UX team and is already well versed in the growing importance of user experience in our industry.

A bundle of energy and a sports enthusiast, in his spare time Kevin can be found competing in running events or having a kick about with his friends. He has a love for travel also, and joining a global business such as Cogs was an instant attraction he says.
