We are delighted to announce our first guest blogger, Raj Samuel, who will be sharing his wit and wisdom with us throughout the whole of August.
After studying film & business, Raj started off his career in film & event management before stumbling into the world of advertising in account management on the global IBM account at Ogilvy & Mather. That global account took him to stints at Ogilvy Singapore & eventually London, where he was part of both fledgling Ogilvy Interactive launch offerings, picking up a curious addiction to chilli along the way.
Since Ogilvy, Raj has had the opportunity to work in integrated digital environments at a number of different prominent UK ad agencies…from Wunderman, Euro RSCG, MRM & Fallon working on brands as diverse as Ford, Peugeot, Evian, Kodak, Marriott, Nokia & even Cadbury where he spearheaded the digital strategy for the now famous Glass & a Half Full Productions….and midway through making a transition from Account Management to Planning.
He joined AMV in 2009 helping the agency win the BT Digital pitch and has since has helped set up their Community management offering as well as the agency’s Innovation programme, looking at key trends to allow us to help clients better navigate through the current craziness. Having spent time in US, Europe, Asia & South America, he’s immensely drawn to cultural insights & sensitivities of marketing as well as its impact on culture itself, especially through digital. And he’s still got that massive addiction to chilli.
