December kicked off with a flurry of excitement for the final month of the year! There’s been some big changes internally for Cogs with promotions, new offices and renovations occurring across the globe, not to mention the rebrand and launch of the new website.
In between the tireless hard work throughout the month (and year), Cogs have managed to have some fun:
A Tropical Christmas
Singapore began celebrations with a tropical-themed Christmas party for clients and candidates. Their newly decorated office was draped with a handmade tropical flower garden and posed as the perfect venue to get the festive season started and to round up a great year.
Neo Victorian Party
The London team headed to Tobacco Docks for a Neo Victorian Fantasy party, with dinner, dancing, strong men and dodgems! A brilliant night had by all.
Steak Night
To celebrate the end of a brilliant year the Hong Kong and China team headed to the infamous steak restaurant Gaucho to fill their tummies with top notch steak and cocktails. It wouldn’t be a Cogs night out without some festive headwear and a game of “Cards Against Humanity”.
Laser Tag & Kareoke
Cogs Berlin is closing this year with big successes, especially providing an agency with a full Digital Team and following up with a similar deal concerning a Product Development Team needed early next year. That’s why they felt it was appropriate to celebrate twice for this Christmas. First, they had a glamorous dinner at the infamous restaurant Katerschmaus with Founder Liam Morgan and Head of Hong Kong Damien Bell who both flew over to celebrate.
Then the following week,, it was time for the “Second Coming”. The team let off steam in the Laser Tag arena “Section 9″ with a squad of policemen (of all teams to be put against) in a merciless shoot out. The frustration afterwards was just slightly diminished with a glass of hot Gluehwein at the traditional Berlin Christmas market on Gendarmenmarkt, just a few steps from their office. From there they headed to Michelsberger restaurant for a few servings of black pudding, pork head fritters, and churros later the team was charged up again for the final stage: Karaoke at the always buzzling Warschauer Straße.
Christmas Jumpers
As part of the annual Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day, Cogs London donned their silliest festive wear to raise funds for Great Orman Street Hospital (our chosen charity this year) so our fundraising efforts will be sent to them this year. They also had an appearance from a rather large dancing Father Christmas….
Beach Day
The Singapore team settled into Sentosa Island for the 2016 roundup to take stock of the year and how to improve and be more prepared for 2017. It ended with food and drinks which was fabulous! The team are looking forward to Christmas and both Fanny and Bev will be spending Christmas overseas.
We’ll be rounding up the business year with news about new clients, internal promotions and updates in January – so watch this space.
Thanks to everyone of our candidates and clients who we’ve worked with this year, it’s been fantastic and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas. We are still getting both perm and freelance jobs in this week so make sure to stay in touch!
