Ithaca Audio is run by Chris Evans-Roberts, an award winning composer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist. He has composed music for international companies and scored films that have received critical acclaim at European film festivals.

He is a member of the British Academy of Composers, Songwriters and Authors has taught music production and composition for the BBC and has lectured to university undergraduates on composing and producing music in surround sound.

Thier latest mashup takes a look back over the last 60 years and features some of their favourite London musicians, films and TV shows.

They’ve used projection mapping techniques to map 26 videos over a box sculpture and perform the mashup live, blending the videos over the surface of the boxes. Created by using 3 laptops (sending OSC messages across a Wi-Fi network), 2 projectors (one for the projection mapping, one for the control surface camera), Ableton Live 8, Max for Live, Resolume Arena, Syphon and MadMapper.

The whole performance is completely portable and adaptable for easy manipulation and set-up.

If you’re not seriously impressed by the end product then you should check you still have a pulse.

Available for live performance
